The Go Hike section lists a growing collection of trails across the islands, each presented in a clear, consistent format so you can quickly understand what to expect.

Every trail guide includes essential details such as the trail name, features, difficulty, distance, and how to get there — giving you a simple, reliable starting point for exploring Haida Gwaii’s forests, beaches, and wild spaces.

Estimated time to complete the trail to give you an idea of your turn-around time

Type

The Loop trails start and end at the same location and follow a single trail or multiple trails to form a loop.

Out-and-Back trails start and end at the same location and follow a single trail or multiple trails to an endpoint and then return along the same route.

Point-to-Point trails start and end in different locations. These routes are often part of a multi-day hiking or backpacking trip or segments of long-distance trails such as Cape Fife and East Beach Trail.

Moresby Waterfall Trail

Port Clements

Port Clements is a quiet riverside community on northern Graham Island, offering easy access to central forest trails, the Golden Spruce site, and Yakoun River viewpoints. It’s a calm, practical base for hikers exploring Haida Gwaii’s inland routes and wildlife-rich woodlands.

Old Masset

Old Masset is a coastal Haida community on northern Graham Island, known for its strong cultural presence, oceanfront views, and quick access to iconic north‑end hiking areas. Close to Tow Hill, North Beach, and village carving studios, Old Masset is a meaningful and convenient base for hikers exploring Haida Gwaii’s northern shoreline and cultural landscape.

Masset and Tow Hill form the northern trail hub of Haida Gwaii — a quiet village base in Masset with amenities for hikers, and the Tow Hill area just minutes away beside North Beach and the Tow Hill Trail.
